Western Gateway recently launched a new website to help better reflect the ambitions of the partnership and show how our area intends to drive the UK’s future economy. Our Director, John Wilkinson, writes about why this was important and what is happening next.

 

 

We are excited to launch our new Western Gateway website and updated brand—a step forward that better showcases the ambitions of our forward-thinking area and its immense potential. This was designed to highlight the Western Gateway as a prime destination for investment, innovation, and growth and will aim to showcase the best of what South Wales and Western England has to offer.  

A Gateway to Opportunity 

From St Davids in Pembrokeshire to Swindon and Salisbury, the Western Gateway encompasses a diverse region rich in talent, natural assets and innovation. As one of the UK’s most exciting areas for economic growth, we are uniquely positioned to drive collaboration across borders and sectors. From cutting-edge technology hubs to leading research institutions and major green energy infrastructure projects, the Western Gateway is the place where innovation and opportunity meet. 

Our new website has been designed to better reflect that forward thinking vision. Whether users are looking for information on partnership updates, or the latest sustainable development projects, our website will make it easy to explore the region’s potential. The streamlined design allows visitors to find key information about the partnership quickly, while our regularly updated news and blogs will ensure you can stay informed about the latest developments. 

As part of this ongoing work, we are looking to develop a dynamic ‘investment hub’ to showcase investible projects from across the region to become a platform for investors, businesses and our partners. 

A Brand for the Future 

Our focus is on creating a Western Gateway that not only thrives today but is positioned for the opportunities of tomorrow. With the launch of this new digital identity, we are reaffirming our commitment to attract investment, support innovation and connect communities across the region. The bold, modern design inspired by the Prince of Wales Bridge, reflects our ambition to collaborate across the border, innovate and grow, while also showcasing the region’s unique character and strengths. The Western Gateway is poised for growth, and our new digital identity reflects the ambitious, innovative spirit we embody.

Their work helped us create a user-friendly and professional digital identity that truly reflects the Western Gateway’s vision.
