Statement on the passing of Her Majesty the Queen from the Western Gateway Partnership Chair

Following the announcement from Buckingham Palace last night, Katherine Bennett CBE, Chair of the Western Gateway Partnership, said: “I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty the Queen.  On behalf of the Western Gateway Partnership, I’d like to send our thoughts and condolences to the Royal Family at this difficult time.

“As our longest reigning monarch and representative for the union for over 70 years, she dedicated her life to the service of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

“Our partners across the area of South Wales and Western England will be leading events to mark her passing. There is a national e-book of condolence available at The Royal Family website.”
