Western Gateway announces attendance at UKREiiF 2024 

The Western Gateway area is already an international leader in ground-breaking technology, from AI and 5G research to quantum computing and robotics. The area is also home to 14 of the 15 world’s largest aerospace manufacturers, the most advanced cyber cluster in Europe and four of the most research focused universities in the UK. 

The Western Gateway contributes 6% of the UK’s total economy every year. Despite this, the area’s productivity is lower than the UK average.  By bringing together local leaders with great universities and business, the area is working together to bridge this gap and add £34bn to the UK economy.  

Innovative, world leading and sustainable, the Western Gateway brings together business, universities and local leaders to work together across the border to build on the area’s potential to deliver for the rest of the UK.
